Seahawks WR John Hall on Blocked Punt vs. Cowboys: 'All She Wrote!'

Seattle Seahawks receiver John Hall went into detail about his blocked punt, which occurred during the team's 22-14 victory over the Dallas Cowboys on Saturday night.

The Seattle Seahawks have taken their initial look at several players who are competing for spots on the 53-man roster during their first two preseason games.

Among those players is undrafted receiver John Hall, who was critical in the Seahawks' 22-14 win over the Dallas Cowboys at Lumen Field on Saturday night. Hall's most notable play of the game came in the fourth quarter when he blocked Dallas's punt, resulting in a Seahawks safety.

After the game, when questioned about the moment he anticipated blocking Dallas's punt, the receiver revealed that he didn't fully grasp what was happening; he simply trusted his technique and hoped for the best.

“I set the move up and was able to get there," Hall said. "It was kind of the heat of the moment. You don’t even realize what you’re doing when it’s happening. I put my hands out, trusted my technique, and that’s all she wrote."

Additionally, as Hall aspires to secure his place on an NFL roster by excelling in special teams, he expressed his appreciation for the emphasis that the Seattle organization places on that unit.

“It was the same way in college, so I’m kind of used to it," Hall said. "Again, the way to stick in this league for the undrafted guys is through the ST (special teams) road. I’m grateful for the opportunity to showcase my talents out there on the field, and when an organization like this puts so much emphasis, I’m just happy to be here."

As the Seahawks prepare for their final preseason game against the Green Bay Packers at Lambeau Field on Saturday, it provides a final chance for Hall to earn his spot on the team's 53-man roster.
