Seattle Seahawks football is officially back, and they're opening the season on Sunday at home against the Los Angeles Rams. After some back-and-forth in the first half of the contest, the Seahawks headed into halftime with a 13-7 lead.

The Seahawks were able to work their way down the field on their first drive of the game, but once they got into the red zone ended up working in the wrong direction. They still were able to put up points as Jason Meyers hit his first field goal of the game, and gave Seattle their first lead of the season going up by a score of 3-0.

The Rams answered with a strong first drive of their own, as they went 75 yards in 16 plays and took the lead following a touchdown from running back Kyren Williams. Seattle saw their 75-yard drive and matched it, scoring in 12 plays without ever needing a third down. Geno Smith found a wide-open DK Metcalf for the score, as they connected for what should be their first of many touchdowns this year.

Following a disastrous drive for the Rams, the Seahawks were unable to get into the end zone on their next possession, but they did add a field goal to add to their lead going up 13-7.

With a chance to score on a 57-yard field goal attempt, the Rams' Brett Maher had his field goal blocked by Jarran Reed, giving the Seahawks a chance to add to their lead before the half concluded.

Despite the prime field position, the Seahawks stumbled on offense and Myers doinked his field goal attempt off of the right upright keeping the score at 13-7.

The Rams used the little time left in the half to get into field goal range, setting up a 56-yard field goal for Maher who missed the kick.

The score remained 13-7, and Seattle heads into the half with the advantage.
