Seahawks Betting Odds for NFC West Title, Super Bowl

The Seattle Seahawks hope to build on a surprising and successful 2022 season with quarterback Geno Smith under a new contract. What do the oddsmakers think?
In this story:

The Seattle Seahawks are coming off a surprise season that saw quarterback Geno Smith win his first Pro Bowl nod, earn NFL Comeback Player of the Year, and finish his regular season with several career highs.

Some include completing 399 of 572 passes, with a league-leading 69.8 percent completion percentage for 4,282 yards, 30 touchdowns, 11 interceptions, and a 100.9 passer rating in 17 games to go along with 68 carries for 366 yards and a touchdown. He was also the only quarterback to take every offensive snap for his team that season.

And his prowess didn't stop in the regular season, as Smith made his first career postseason start. Although it was a 41-23 loss in the NFC Wild Card matchup, Smith performed admirably, completing 25 of 35 passes for 253 yards two touchdowns and an interception.

What's in store for 2023? The organization hopes to build on that, as they've re-signed Smith to a three-year, $75 million deal.

And now, the oddsmakers are indicating what kind of chance they think Smith and the Seahawks have at a division title and a Super Bowl championship.

Not surprisingly, Seattle is not one of the favorites to win it all at +3500, but the odds for an NFC West division title are better at +195.

Helping Smith in Seattle's efforts in 2023 will be running back Kenneth Walker III who scored nine touchdowns and ran for 1,050 yards. In the passing game, both Tyler Lockett and D.K. Metcalf return. Lockett posted 84 catches for 1,033 yards and nine touchdowns, while Metcalf registered 90 catches for 1,084 yards and six scores.

If Seattle can build on the momentum from last season, and Smith can improve from his Pro Bowl season, the Seahawks have every opportunity to go as far as anyone else in the NFL playoffs in 2023.
