Seahawks vs. Cardinals Week 18: How to Watch, Betting Odds
The Seahawks are still in the playoff race at 8-8 and currently hold the No. 8 seed which is on the outside looking in. To move up into the top seven, Seattle needs a win or tie against Arizona and then some help from other teams.
The Cardinals were eliminated long ago but would love to play the role of spoiler against the division-rival Seahawks.
The Seahawks would be in the postseason with a win and a Green Bay loss or tie, a tie and a Green Bay loss and Tampa Bay loss or tie, a tie and a Green Bay loss and New Orleans loss or tie.
Make sense? To make it simple, Seattle should just win and hope for everyone else to lose.
"We lost our control of it," Seahawks coach Pete Carroll said of his team's playoff destiny after yesterday's loss. "We had control of it, and we gave that up today."
One of the biggest questions for Seattle outside of the playoff scenario is the future of linebacker Bobby Wagner. Wagner's time back with the Seahawks after one season with the Rams has been good for everyone.
Wagner enters Week 18 with 168 tackles and 3.5 sacks and has stated he'll be back. Whether or not that is in Seattle remains to be seen.
Cardinals Left Tackle to Miss Week 18 Contest vs. Seahawks
For the Cardinals, running back James Conner has been a bright spot on an otherwise dim season. He needs just 110 yards to hit the 1,000-yard mark for the year. Last week he ran for 128 in the win over the Eagles and is averaging five yards per carry this season.
