FINAL: Seattle Seahawks Defeat Tennessee Titans 20-17 With Fourth Quarter Comeback
It’s gameday for the Seattle Seahawks, who find themselves in Nashville to face the 5-9 Tennessee Titans for a Christmas Eve matchup on Sunday.
While the Titans had their playoff hopes crushed in their 19-16 loss to the Houston Texans a week ago, Seattle still has its postseason dreams alive thanks to the come-from-behind win over the Philadelphia Eagles in Week 15. However, even with the win, the Seahawks are still up against the wall in terms of playoff contention.
Currently, Seattle sits third in the NFC South behind the San Francisco 49ers and Los Angeles Rams, both of whom hold the head-to-head tiebreakers over the Seahawks. This means not only do the Seahawks need to win out, but they need the Rams to lose out to give them their best chance of making the postseason.
However, the Seahawks will remain focused on doing what they can control, which is the outcome of their matchup with a Titans team that will be without rookie quarterback Will Levis due to an ankle injury, which will force them to go back to the veteran Ryan Tannehill.
Seahawks CB Devon Witherspoon Inactive vs. Titans on Christmas Eve
While the Titans will be without their preferred choice at quarterback, the Seahawks will have their starter, Geno Smith, back under center for the first time since the 41-35 loss to the Dallas Cowboys in Week 13.
Kickoff inside Nissan Stadium is scheduled for 10 a.m. (PT) as the Seahawks take on the Titans.

FIELD GOAL SEAHAWKS
Titans 7, Seahawks 3
Change of Possession
The Titans had just two third downs on the drive, and the first came after a false start backed them into a third-and-11. From there, it was a 23-yard scramble from Tannehill that extended the drive. However, the Seahawks defense would end up getting a stop as a sack by Mario Edwards backed the Titans into a third-and-19, where they picked up just 11 yards on a run. Tennessee settled for a 33-yard field goal from Nick Folk.

Change of Possession
The Titans were unable to yield points on the final drive of the first-half as a Boye Mafe sack sent the game to halftime.
Third Quarter
The Seahawks' first drive of the half was promising as they entered the Tennessee red zone with a 19-yard pass from Smith, setting themselves up for a potential touchdown. However, their struggles in the redzone continued as they settled for a 27-yard field goal as Smith couldn't find Metcalf on third down.
