Tennessee Titans QB Will Levis Injury Status Revealed vs. Seattle Seahawks
The Seattle Seahawks are visiting the Tennessee Titans in Nashville on Sunday, but it's appearing increasingly likely that Titans rookie quarterback Will Levis will miss the game due to an injury.
Levis is out for Sunday's game due to the ankle injury he suffered in Week 15's 19-16 overtime loss to the Houston Texans, per NFL Network's Ian Rapoport.
"Titans QB Will Levis, dealing with a high-ankle sprain, is not expected to be able to play today, source said," Rapoport tweeted. "He pushed to be on the field, practicing on Friday. But couldn't quite get there. Ryan Tannehill will start."
Levis, the No. 33 pick in the 2023 NFL Draft, has gone 147 of 249 passing for 1,792 yards, eight touchdowns and four interceptions in eight career games. He's also added 25 carries for 57 yards and another score.
Seahawks 'Got to Get Ready' for Uncertain Titans QB Situation
Seahawks coach Pete Carroll praised Levis when speaking to the media this week, admitting that Seattle viewed him highly during the draft process.
“He’s really smart, really bright kid," Carroll said. "Good command, confident, really impressive. He’s a very impressive guy. We thought that he was as good as prospect as anybody in the group there. ... He’s so sharp and can handle it and put it in the right perspective. I don’t know that until you really get with him, but that’s what our impressions were. We really thought a lot of him.”
The Seahawks (7-7) and Titans (5-9) are set for kickoff from Nissan Stadium at 10 a.m. PT.,
