WATCH: DK Metcalf's One-Handed TD Gives Seattle Seahawks Lead in Fourth Quarter
It has been a rather dull affair for the Seattle Seahawks in Nashville as they take on the Tennessee Titans. However, things could be heating up for Seattle after being held out of the endzone for the first three quarters of play.
The Seahawks found the endzone as quarterback Geno Smith capped off a perfect drive through the air with an 11-yard touchdown pass to his star receiver, DK Metcalf, to take a 13-10 lead early in the fourth quarter. It was a one-hand grab for Metcalf, who, after it was originally ruled incomplete, as he bobbled the ball with one hand before re-securing it and dragging his feet to put Seattle on the board.
Smith's connection to Metcalf finished off a 10-play drive for the Seahawks, where they went 96 yards after an unsportsmanlike conduct penalty on punt returner DeeJay Dallas had backed them up on their own four-yard line. Despite the horrible starting field position and a less-than-stellar first three quarters for the Seahawk's offense, Smith completed all five of his passes for 65 yards as he found Metcalf for the score.
Smith-Njigba Returns After Giving Seahawks Injury Scare vs. Titans
So far, in his first game back since a groin injury that forced him miss the previous two games, Smith has completed 18 of his 26 passes for 170 yards and a touchdown, while Metcalf has four receptions for 56 yards and the score.
