WATCH: Geno Smith Leads Seattle Seahawks Game-Winning Touchdown Drive
In a deja vu-esque moment, the Seattle Seahawks found a way to mount a fourth-quarter comeback after trailing for three quarters, this time on the road versus the Tennessee Titans.
Just six days following the late-game heroics of backup quarterback Drew Lock, it was Geno Smith's turn to lead the Seahawks on what would turn out to be the game-winning drive as they trailed the Titans by four points with a little over three minutes left in regulation.
Lead is exactly what Smith did for the Seahawks, completing seven of his 10 passes for 54 yards on the drive, where he found Cody Parkinson for what would turn into the game-winning touchdown pass.
It was Smith's second touchdown pass of the day as he found his star receiver DK Metcalf the drive before for his first touchdown pass, which highlighted his first game back since suffering the groin injury that saw him miss the loss to the San Francisco 49ers and win over the Philadelphia Eagles.
Smith completed 25 of his 36 passes for 227 yards and two touchdowns. Meanwhile, Parkinson finished with three catches for 17 yards.
While Parkinson's touchdown did give Seattle the lead late in the fourth quarter, there was still enough time for Ryan Tannehill and Co. to mount a comeback drive of their own. However, that is where the Seahawks defense did their part, keeping a three-yard completion to Dowell inbounds as the clock expired.
The Seahawks' latest showing of late-game heroics marks their eighth win of the season as they keep their playoff dreams alive for another week.
