PITTSBURGH -- The Baltimore Ravens are nearing an agreement with former Pittsburgh Steelers cornerback Arthur Maulet ahead of training camp kickoff, according to NFL Network's Cameron Wolf.

Maulet was released by the Steelers in May. He played 33 games for Pittsburgh over the span of two seasons, starting eight and recording 106 tackles, one interception, two sacks, seven tackles for loss and two forced fumbles.

Maulet brings 68 games, three interceptions and 183 tackles with him to Baltimore. After what some interpreted as a messy release with the Steelers, he now gets to matchup with his former team twice a season.

The 29-year-old joins Marlon Humphrey, Rock Ya-Sin, Damarion Williams, Trayvon Mullen, Jayln Armour-Davis and rookie Kye Blu Kelly in the Ravens cornerback room, with a chance to earn a roster spot as a slot corner/special teamer.

As for the Steelers, they're heading into training camp with Patrick Peterson, Levi Wallace and Joey Porter Jr. looking to man the corner room. However, there are question marks surrounding Porter's appearance as he's yet to sign a contract.
