Brian Flores Praises Steelers During Vikings Intro
PITTSBURGH -- Brian Flores only spent one season with the Pittsburgh Steelers, but spent time thanking them for his lone year during his introductory press conference with the Minnesota Vikings.
Flores was introduced as the Vikings defensive coordinator, alongside head coach
"The Rooney family, Mike T, Omar [Khan]," Flores said. "My time in Pittsburgh was tremendous although short-lived. I felt like I made some great relationships there that will last a long, long time. My time there was great."
Check out this highlight from the press conference from FanNation's Vikings Publisher Will Ragatz:
During his single season with the Steelers, the defensive unit went from last in rushing yards allowed to the ninth-best in the NFL this past year. A jump a number of players have credited to Flores's contributions.
Flores will have his hands full in Minnesota as he looks to restore a unit that finished 31st in passing yards allowed. However, the group did have 15 interceptions and could see two young players like Lewis Cine and Andrew Booth take leaps in year two.
