Bud Dupree Arrives in Pittsburgh for Steelers Meeting
PITTSBURGH -- Bud Dupree has confirmed he is in Pittsburgh, and unless he's just doing some friendly visiting with old teammates, it appears he's in town for his meeting with the Steelers.
Dupree and the Steelers have been reported to have a meeting scheduled, but as of yesterday, there was still no word of a signing. Now, with everyone back from the League Meetings, the free agent outside linebacker is in town.
Dupree and the Steelers appear to be an easy match. Pittsburgh is in search of a top backup linebacker and Dupree is looking for an opportunity to bounce back after two down years in Tennessee.
With just 22 game appearances over the last two seasons due to injuries, Dupree is likely going to go through a physical when with the Steelers. The health of his knee will then determine the next move for both sides.
