Steelers Still Talking With Free Agents, More Signings to Come
PITTSBURGH -- The Pittsburgh Steelers free agency isn't over yet. According to general manager Omar Khan, the team is still in conversations with multiple players, and expects more signings to happen before the summer.
"Free agency’s not over," Khan told Maxx Starks on the League Meetings. "There’s a lot of good players still out there and we continue that evaluation process, continue to have conversations with several guys. And you’ll see over the next few weeks more guys might come available, and we’ll stay ahead of that."
The Steelers have reportedly brought outside linebacker Bud Dupree in for a physical and to continue negotiations after his release from the Tennessee Titans. They've also been claimed to have brought offensive tackle Joshua Miles.
Head coach Mike Tomlin said during the League Meetings that the team will still add another safety, although that could come in the NFL Draft.
Wide receiver hasn't been talked about much, but the Steelers have looked into at least a few wideouts on the open market, sources have told All Steelers.
Defensive tackle depth, center depth and a third quarterback could also be on the team's target list late in free agency.
