Colts Lose Star RB Ahead of Steelers Game

The Indianapolis Colts lose their top player heading into a matchup with the Pittsburgh Steelers.

PITTSBURGH — The Indianapolis Colts lost their biggest offensive weapon for Week 15 against the Pittsburgh Steelers, announcing running back Jonathan Taylor will not play.

Taylor will miss his third consecutive game due to a thumb injury, leaving Zack Moss as their starter once again. Taylor has played in just seven games this season after holding out at the beginning of the year during contract negotiations, and then suffering his thumb injury.

In his place, Moss has rushed for 751 yards and five touchdowns. He also has 171 receiving yards and a touchdown reception.

Trey Sermon is listed as the team’s backup behind Moss.

Both the Colts and Steelers are waiting on the final word for a number of injuries, but Pittsburgh got a major boost heading into the game. After entering concussion protocol following the team’s Week 14 games, outside linebacker T.J. Watt has been cleared and is set to play in Indianapolis.

He told All Steelers he feels great heading into the weekend.
