Joey Porter Jr., Ja'Marr Chase Exchange Words Before Steelers Game

Ja'Marr Chase and Joey Porter Jr. agree. Get ready for a "show" between the Pittsburgh Steelers and Cincinnati Bengals.
In this story:

PITTSBURGH -- The Pittsburgh Steelers will travel to Cincinnati to take on the Bengals for the first time this season, and despite Cincy losing Joe Burrow and Tee Higgins, one star wideout believes they're going to dominate the Steelers.

Even with Jake Browning at quarterback and Higgins sidelined with a hamstring injury, Bengals superstar Ja'Marr Chase believes Cincinnati is going to walk away winners no matter who's at quarterback.

"We’ll show y’all this week," Chase said. "Wait for the show."

Steelers rookie Joey Porter Jr. believes he'll be shadowing Chase this week, a trend that was set several weeks ago when he lined up against DeAndre Hopkins. Since then, he's lined up against the opposing team's top receiver and will do so again against Chase.

"I feel like he’s an overall athlete," Porter said. "He’s a good player. He’s been doing it in the league for a long time. I’m excited for this matchup. I feel like I’m prepared for it."

The young matchup could very well be a "show" and one that Porter is ready for.

"I take a lot of pride in that. That’s what I wanted coming in the building," Porter said. "They are giving me the tools to do that. They are trusting me. It’s time to put on."

"He's telling the truth," Porter added. "Wait for the show."
