Eagles Sign Steelers Practice Squad CB
PITTSBURGH -- The Philadelphia Eagles have cornerback Josiah Scott off the Pittsburgh Steelers practice squad, according to his agent JL Sports.
Scott was signed to the Steelers practice squad at the start of the season after being released by the Eagles. He was eventually placed on practice squad reserve due to an injury. Heading into Week 7, he'll now return to Philadelphia, where he started four games last season.
Scott spent the last two years with the Eagles, playing 29 games, including those four starts. He recorded two interceptions and eight pass deflections in 2022 as he helped Philly earn their place in the Super Bowl.
Philadelphia is dealing with injuries at cornerback with Darius Slay missing Week 6 against the Jets and Bradley Roby suffering a shoulder injury in-game.
Scott will be required to stay on the Eagles' active roster for a minimum of four weeks after being signed off the practice squad.
