Steelers Add Joey Porter Jr. to Injury List

The Pittsburgh Steelers are now down two cornerbacks.

PITTSBURGH -- The Pittsburgh Steelers were hit with another injury at cornerback this week as rookie Joey Porter Jr. suffered a calf injury, assumably at practice.

Porter Jr. was a limited participant alongside Levi Wallace, who is seemingly progressing as the week flows. It's unknown when the injury to Porter took place, but after being a full participant yesterday, it's assumed the issue occurred during practice.

Porter Jr. said after practice that he's fine and that he plans to play this weekend. It's unknown if the injury will hold him back any further in the final practice, or during the game against the Jacksonville Jaguars.

Wallace was limited after missing yesterday due to a foot injury. It's unknown when the injury occurred, and defensive coordinator Teryl Austin said even he wasn't sure if he was nursing something or if it popped up during practice.

The progression could be a good indicator for this weekend's game, but tomorrow's practice will be significant in deciding his injury tag.
