The Pittsburgh Steelers are welcoming players back to their facility.

PITTSBURGH -- The Pittsburgh Steelers are back in the building as they begin phase one of their offseason workout program.

The Steelers will join most of the league in allowing players to return for voluntary conditioning and welcoming new players to the locker room for the first time. This period lasts two weeks and activities are limited to strength and conditioning and physical rehabilitation.

After phase one, the Steelers will enter phase two, which includes rookie mini camp. Players are able to compete in on-field workouts that includes individual player instruction and drills and team practices conducted on a “separates” basis. No live contact or offense vs. defense drills are permitted.

From there, OTAs and mini camp will ramp up the summer before teams take a break before training camp. During OTAs, players are not mandated to report, however, they are for mini camp.
