PITTSBURGH -- The Chicago Bears have removed former Pittsburgh Steelers wide receiver Chase Claypool from the Physically Unable to Perform list only a day after placing him on it for the start of training camp.

Reactions came hot and heavy after the Bears placed Claypool on the PUP list to start camp. The news came after a long offseason of headlines surrounding the wide receiver's place in Chicago and their concerns about his work ethic.

Earlier this summer, reports emerged that the Bears were worried about Clayppool's motivation levels with football.

"I have heard from a few people inside that building that he is not somebody who is very self-motivated," Marc Silverman of ESPN’s Waddle & Silvy Show said early this summer.

Now that Claypool is back on the field, those headlines should dim, but the pressure will likely remain on him to turn around a narrative that was adopted this offseason.
