Steelers Among Favorites to Land Pro Bowl QB
PITTSBURGH -- The Pittsburgh Steelers are among the betting favorites to land Denver Broncos quarterback Russell Wilson with his expected release coming this offseason.
The Broncos decided they were going to bench Wilson during the team's final two games in order to prevent any injury guarantees within his contract. With the move, it appears to be the end of Wilson's time in Denver, sending him into free agency this coming offseason.
Over at BetOnline.ag, the Steelers are amongst the favorites to land the Super Bowl-winning quarterback, currently sitting with 8/1 odds to land Wilson.
The Steelers are tied with the New York Giants, Atlanta Falcons and Chicago Bears to sign Wilson in the spring. The current favorites are the Minnesota Vikings (5/1) followed by the New England Patriots (6/1) and the Washington Commanders and Las Vegas Raiders (7/1).
The Steelers will likely look for another quarterback option this offseason, trying to replace Mitch Trubisky and Mason Rudolph. While Wilson is an option, Pittsburgh's first choice will probably be to give Kenny Pickett another shot as the starter with a new offensive coordinator.
