Steelers Hit With Multiple Injuries at Training Camp
LATROBE -- The Pittsburgh Steelers are dealing with a handful of injuries as they close out their second week of training camp at Saint Vincent College.
As they finished practice for the last time in Week 2, the team is dealing with seven injuries to varying degrees. And on their final practice session, they added a new one in safety Tre Norwood, who suffered a leg injury and will be evaluated after practice.
Heading into their third week of camp, the Steelers have injuries to Dez Fitzpatrick (hamstring), Norwood (leg), Nick Herbig (hip), Joey Porter Jr. (ankle), Damontae Kazee (ankle), Keanu Neal (unknown), John Lovett (unknown).
Head coach Mike Tomlin confirmed Kazee is working his way back onto the field after missing the entire second week. Neal is always beginning to work his way back.
The Steelers will only practice three more times before their first preseason game in Tampa Bay. They'll compete in two normal practice days and then host a private walk-through to put the finishing touches on their team.
