Steelers Injury List Shrinking in Week 3
PITTSBURGH -- The Pittsburgh Steelers got good news as they inch closer to their Week 3 matchup with the Las Vegas Raiders. After dealing with six injuries in their first practice, their second report only included two players missing an entire day of work.
The Steelers were still without wide receiver Gunner Olszewski (concussion) and defensive end Larry Ogunjobi (foot). Olszewski continues to work through protocol in hopes of being cleared by the game. Ogunjobi has been dealing with the foot injury since the preseason, and has missed or been limited in most practices since.
The Steelers did see three players move up from not participating to limited participants, pointing in the right direction to be cleared by the weekend. Safety Minkah Fitzpatrick (chest), outside linebacker Markus Golden (knee) and tight end Darnell Washington (knee) were all limited.
The Steelers will host one more practice before their final injury report comes out. Ogunjobi and Olszewski will likely need to work in some capacity to be cleared for the game, but in Ogunjobi's case, he may be a player who does not need to participate to play.
