Steelers Add CB Julius Brents to Pre-Draft Visits
PITTSBURGH -- The Pittsburgh Steelers are bringing in their fourth cornerback for a top 30 pre-draft visit, scheduling a meetings with Kansas State standout Julius Brents, according to The Draft Network's Ryan Fowler.
Brents follows meetings with Georgia's Kelee Ringo, Miami's Tyrique Stevenson and Mississippi State's Emmanuel Forbes. He also has visits scheduled with the Philadelphia Eagles and Houston Texans.
Brents has been a sneaky riser during the NFL Draft process. After an impressive performance at the Senior Bowl, many moved the Kansas State corner into a top-of-the-second, possibly first-round landing spot. He continued to rise with a 4.53 40-yard dash, 41.5" vertical jump and 11'6" broad jump at the NFL Combine.
With the Steelers having two picks in the second round, including the first pick in the round through the Chicago Bears, Brents has been a possibility for the team since leaving Mobile.
The redshirt season played 27 games with Kansas State after transferring from Iowa in 2020. He recorded 69 tackles and five interceptions his final two seasons.
