Steelers QB Kenny Pickett Questionable Against Seahawks
PITTSBURGH -- The Pittsburgh Steelers could get quarterback Kenny Pickett back for the first time in four games after the team listed him as questionable heading into Week 17 against the Seattle Seahawks.
Pickett returned to practice last week after missing two games following surgery on his ankle. He was able to do more than he did a week ago and will have an opportunity to be active on gameday for the first time since his injury.
This week, the expectation remained the same, the Steelers would monitor Pickett throughout the week but expected Mason Rudolph to start. Even with Pickett being questionable, head coach Mike Tomlin announced Rudolph will start against the Seahawks.
Pickett said during the week that he felt good enough to play and was pushing to get back out there.
Last week against the Cincinnati Bengals, Rudolph threw for 290 yards and two touchdowns as the team won 34-11. It was his first start since 2021.
Pittsburgh needs to win their final two games to keep their playoff hopes alive and will ride Rudolph's hot hand in Week 17 as they hope to turn their win last week into a streak.
