Steelers LB Kwon Alexander Suffers Leg Injury
PITTSBURGH -- The Pittsburgh Steelers inside linebacker room took another blow in Week 10 after Kwon Alexander left early in the first quarter with an apparent leg/ankle injury.
The veteran linebacker sat on the turf while trying to walk back to the huddle following a play on the Packers' opening drive. He appeared to grab his ankle, asking for the training staff to come evaluate him. He walked off on his own power but was taken directly to the blue medical tent.
The Steelers were already down an inside linebacker coming into the week after placing Cole Holcomb on Injured Reserve following knee surgery. Without Alexander, the Steelers will rely on Elandon Roberts and Mark Robinson, with practice squad call-up Tariq Carpenter available off the bench.
The Steelers could also utilize safety Keanu Neal at inside linebacker like they have in three safety sets throughout the season.
All Steelers will continue to update Alexander's injury as more information becomes available.
UPDATE: Alexander has been ruled out for the remainder of Week 10 with a leg injury.
