INDIANAPOLIS -- The Pittsburgh Steelers are scouting the top inside linebackers in the 2024 NFL Draft class, meeting with most of the top options during their time at the NFL Combine.

During the first day of player interviews, it was confirmed that the Steelers held formal meetings with Clemsons' Jeremiah Trotter, Texas A&M's Edgerin Cooper and Michigan's Junior Colson.

"I feel like he really commands the room. He's got a strong presence to him," Trotter said on his meeting with head coach Mike Tomlin. "He's a great coach. One of the teams that I've watched on Sundays. I love the way he coaches. I love the way he leads his team and he just has a lot of respect for them - I can tell from the players in the locker room."

Trotter is expected to be a first-round or early second-round pick, while Cooper and Colson are expected second to third-round options.

Sources tell All Steelers Pittsburgh has high interest in all three options during the NFL Draft, but aren't stopping there. They've met with several inside linebackers during the NFL Combine and have prospects deeping in the draft that they feel are options for them.

The inside linebackers will test on Thursday during NFL Combine week, and the Steelers will likely be key observers throughout the entire event.
