Steelers Receive Multiple Failing Grades From Players

The Pittsburgh Steelers were ranked one of the worst teams in the NFL by their own players.

PITTSBURGH -- The Pittsburgh Steelers are in need of some changes to their facilities after the latest NFLPA report card was released. The team ranked 28th overall and has some concerning marks from players surveyed.

The Steelers finished with two F's and an F- on their report card. The F- was in Treatment of Families, and the two F's were Owner and Locker Room

Steelers owner Art Rooney II said earlier in the offseason that he is working on upgrades to Acrisure Stadium, but when asked about improvements to their South Sides facility, he said there are no such improvements in the works at this time.

Rooney did say the team is looking to expand their family facilities at Acrisure Stadium, helping make gamedays easier for players' loved ones.

Currently, the Steelers are one of 12 teams that do not provide a family room during games and are one of seven teams that provide no daycare support for players' children during gameday.

When it comes to the locker room, 60% of players feel the locker room is big enough, and only 65% of players feel they have enough room for individual lockers.

As for Rooney II, he received a 5.8 out of 10 rating, ranking 31st in the NFL.

Pittsburgh received the following grades on the remainder of the report card.

  • Food/Cafeteria: B-
  • Nutritionist/Dietician: D
  • Training Room: D+
  • Training Staff: C
  • Weight Room: C
  • Strength Coaches: B+
  • Team Travel: D
  • Head Coach: A
