Steelers GM Omar Khan's NFL Combine Availability Postponed
PITTSBURGH -- Pittsburgh Steelers general manager Omar Khan has had his media availability at the NFL Combine postponed due to a death in his family, a team spokesperson announced.
Khan was set to speak to the media at 10:30 am on Tuesday, addressing the team's NFL Draft situation, recent moves on their roster and the hiring of new offensive coaches. He was also set to speak with local media in a private setting earlier in the week.
Khan's availability is to be determined at this point. It has not been ruled out that he can speak later in the week.
The Steelers will spend the rest of the week scouting every player at the Combine. Head coach Mike Tomlin and their scouting department will meet with prospects in private meetings and then head to Lucas Oil Stadium to watch drills Wednesday through Saturday.
As Pittsburgh navigates through the week, there are plenty of storylines to follow, but five likely remain at the top of the list. Those include their focus on offensive linemen, what quarterbacks they are talking to, and where the other positions fall on their draft board.
