Steelers Rivals Still Without Starting QB
PITTSBURGH -- The Pittsburgh Steelers are operating through the bye week as they sit atop the AFC North. Meanwhile, the Cleveland Browns are still waiting on the return of their starting quarterback, who isn't expected to play this weekend.
According to Josina Anderson, Deshaun Watson will remain sidelined due to a shoulder injury that has forced him to miss last week despite being cleared to play in the game.
Watson is dealing with a bruised rotator cuff in his throwing shoulder that has kept him off the field during practice as well. It's unknown what the severity of the injury is, or how much time he'll be forced to miss because of it.
Currently, the Browns are 2-2 and in third place in the division. The Steelers defeated them in Week 2.
Without Watson on the field, the Steelers are in a good spot in the division. With the Cincinnati Bengals just starting to find their footing, and with a win over the Baltimore Ravens already, Pittsburgh controls their fate within the AFC North after the bye week.
