Steelers Make Seven Players Inactive vs. Ravens
PITTSBURGH -- The Pittsburgh Steelers have ruled out seven players, all of whom are dealing with injuries, in Week 5 against the Baltimore Ravens.
Offensive linemen James Daniels and Dan Moore Jr., punter Pressley Harvin, defensive end DeMarvin Leal, tight end Pat Freiermuth, quarterback Mason Rudolph and running back Godwin Igwebuike.
Daniels (groin), Moore (knee), Harvin (hamstring) and Leal (concussion) were all ruled out with injuries. Outside linebacker Alex Highsmith, who was questionable with a groin injury, will play against the Ravens.
At guard, the Steelers will start Nate Herbig for a second game. First-round rookie Broderick Jones, second-round rookie Keeanu Benton and third-round rookie Darnell Washington will all make their first NFL starts at left tackle, defensive tackle and tight end. Brad Wing will punt in place of Harvin.
Rudolph will still dress but cannot enter the game unless Kenny Pickett and Mitch Trubisky are ruled out.
Defensive tackle Breiden Fehoko will make his season debut with Pittsburgh after being called up from the practice squad. Offensive lineman Ryan McCullum is also set to be active after being elevated to the active/inactive list.
