Steelers Showing Interest in RB ZaQuandre White

The Pittsburgh Steelers are bringing in the former Dolphins running back for a visit.

PITTSBURGH -- The Pittsburgh Steelers have an open roster spot and are looking into former South Carolina running back ZaQuandre White, according to The Score's Jordan Schultz.

White, 24, spent last season on the Miami Dolphins practice squad after going undrafted in the 2022 NFL Draft. The former Gamecocks back rushed for 642 yards and two touchdowns during his two seasons at South Carolina, averaging 6.6 yards per carry as a senior.

He most recently played for the Birmingham Stallions of the XFL, rushing for 128 yards and two touchdowns and catching another.

The Steelers currently have 89 players on their roster following the retirement of fullback Monte Pottebaum. They're also waiting for the results of running back Alfonzo Graham's shoulder injury, which could push them to add another runner in White.

White would be the third XFL player to join the Steelers, alongside wide receiver Hakeem Butler and cornerback Luq Barcoo. He'd be added to their running back room to compete with Anthony McFarland, Darius Hagans, Jason Huntley and Graham for the final roster spot.
