Steelers Sign Former Eagles OL Isaac Seumalo

The Pittsburgh Steelers add a second former Philadelphia Eagles lineman.

PITTSBURGH -- The Pittsburgh Steelers are signing their second former Philadelphia Eagles lineman, inking guard Isaac Seumalo to a three-year deal, according to The Score's Jordan Schultz. 

The Steelers signed former Eagles guard Nate Herbig to a two-year deal earlier in the week. Now, they're bringing in another one of assistant general manager Andy Weidl's trench men to compete on the offensive line. 

Seumalo was with the Eagles from 2016, when he was drafted as a third-round pick, to last season, starting 60 of his 81 games played. The 6'4, 303-pound lineman comes from Honolulu, Hawaii and played college ball at Oregon State. 

The additions of Seumalo and Herbig likely mean Kevin Dotson has competition at left guard. The Steelers typically keep two backup interior offensive linemen on their active roster, so it's likely all three names are here for the season. 

The signing of Seumalo does point to Kendrick Green's chances of making the roster being slim. The third-round pick in 2021 started 15 games as a rookie but was not active for any game in 2022.
