Patrick Peterson is Right, Steelers' Window is Open
PITTSBURGH -- The Pittsburgh Steelers held introductory press conferences for their newest free agent signings, and for the first time, fans got to hear from Patrick Peterson and Nate Herbig.
"It's the Steelers," was said more than once. Why? Because the team's offseason additions knew exactly what they were walking into, and how much potential an organization like the Steelers have on any given year.
Peterson made that very clear. The 13-year veteran is looking for a ring in his final two seasons, and at fist, the initial response was, 'that's not happening in Pittsburgh.'
But after you really looked at it all. After you took time, saw where this team was a year ago, two years ago, and where it is now and will be next season, maybe he's right - the Steelers are a Super Bowl team.
Maybe not this year, but the window is certainly open. Pittsburgh's "rebuild" is pretty much over. Now, it's a new team with new team potential - and in the NFL, opportunity peaks with a new regime.
