Steelers Sign Punter Braden Mann

The Pittsburgh Steelers are adding another punter to the roster.
In this story:

PITTSBURGH -- The Pittsburgh Steelers are bringing in a second punter, claiming former New York Jets punter Braden Mann.

Mann, 25, spent the last three seasons with the Jets after being drafted in the sixth round in 2020. Last year, he averaged 45.4 per punt and has a career average of 46.9 yards per punt.

Mann comes to Pittsburgh to compete with Pressley Harvin III. Harvin averaged 43.6 yards per punt, and averaged 44.5 per punt last season.

Harvin was the team's seventh-round pick in 2021 but has had a roller coaster start to his NFL career. After beating Jordan Berry out in training camp last summer, he struggled to stay consistent while dealing with the death of his father during the season.

He'll now have to prove himself three years into his career.
