Steelers Super Bowl Odds Increase After Massive Week
PITTSBURGH -- The Pittsburgh Steelers are still in the middle of the pack when it comes to their Super Bowl LIX odds, but after a few big-name signings and some change at quarterback, they're trending in the right direction as we enter the second week of free agency.
Before free agency began, the Steelers were working with Kenny Pickett as their starting quarterback and a few questions at multiple positions. At the time, their Super Bowl odds were +8000 at Stake.com.
After signing Russell Wilson, trading Pickett, acquiring Justin Fields and adding names like Patrick Queen and DeShon Elliott, those odds have taken a significant jump forward.
Heading into the second week of the open market, and with plenty of moves still expected to be made, Pittsburgh currently holds +5000 odds to win a Lombardi Trophy this season.
What comes next will help those odds even more. The team is set to bring wide receiver Mike Williams in for a free agent visit, and still hold roughly $10.6 million in available cap space.
Pittsburgh still holds the worst odds in the AFC North, trailing the Baltimore Ravens (+900), Cincinnati Bengals (+1300) and Cleveland Browns (+3500), but they're trending in the right direction after a few signings.
Expect more to come from this team and better odds as they approach the end of free agency and begin finalizing their plans for the NFL Draft.
