PITTSBURGH -- A former Pittsburgh Steelers defensive back is staying out west on a limited deal with the Seattle Seahawks during a wild free agency period around the NFL.

Artie Burns, a former first-round pick of the Steelers, will return to Seattle on a one-year deal, according to a report from ESPN's Adam Schefter. Finanical terms have not yet been reported.

The Steelers took Burns with the 25th overall pick in the 2016 NFL Draft when he was coming out of Miami. He played four seasons in Pittsburgh, appearing in 58 games and starting 32 while amassing 159 tackles, 27 passes defended and four interceptions over that same span.

He made a two-year stop in Chicago, signing with the Bears after the Steelers let him walk. He signed a pair of one-year deals for little money before jumping on with the Seahawks on a one-year, $2,035,000 contract. Burns appeared in 14 games for Seattle and started once, playing only 23% of the team's defensive snaps and 46% of their special teams snaps.

Burns is only 28 but will try to revive his career on a prove-it deal with the Seahawks.
