The Pittsburgh Steelers added to their practice squad this week.

PITTSBURGH -- The Pittsburgh Steelers made a roster change this week as they prepare to travel to Houston for a Week 4 date with the Texans at NRG Stadium picking up a former Houston wideout.

The Steelers announced that they had signed former Texans wide receiver Jalen Camp to the practice squad. With the injury bug having bitten wideout Diontae Johnson and running back Anthony McFarland, they had room for another wide receiver on the practice squad as Dez Fitzpatrick was elevated to the active roster.

To make room on the roster for Camp, the Steelers released cornerback Kalon Barnes.

Camp is a former sixth-round pick of the Jacksonville Jaguars in 2021 but was waived at the end of his first training camp. Since signing with Houston just days after he was released, Camp has bounced between the practice squad and the active roster. He has six career appearances in regular season games under his belt and one catch for seven yards.
