New QBs Emerge for Steelers
PITTSBURGH -- The Pittsburgh Steelers got less than impressive results from a week down at the Senior Bowl. But one man's - or mans' - misfortune is another man's treasure. And with some of the potential first and second-round picks struggling, some under-the-radar names started to emerge.
Leaving Mobile, the Steelers likely aren't looking at the two biggest names that went down to the Senior Bowl. No one was impressed with Box Nix or Michael Penix. But many reports claim there was one player who was very impressive in the three days of practice, and he may have found himself climbing up some draft boards - including the Steelers'.
Meanwhile, there's been another name linked to Pittsburgh, and they took some time at the East-West Shrine Bowl to get to know him. He's been predicted to land with the Steelers already, and after getting to know each other, maybe he's higher on their radar than originally believed.
The quarterback market is an ever-changing landscape, but one that the Steelers are going to be attached to all offseason. After the first stop in the recruiting trail, there are some names to keep an eye on.
