Steelers OC Search Becomes Much More Difficult

The Pittsburgh Steelers did not need this weekend to go as it did.
In this story:

PITTSBURGH -- The Pittsburgh Steelers offensive coordinator search looked like it was about to take a turn in the right direction. At halftime of the NFC Championship game, any fan holding out hope for a San Francisco 49ers passing game coordinator was thrilled their team was about to land an interview.

Now, they'll have to wait another two weeks.

The Steelers do not have to wait until after the Super Bowl to interview someone off of the 49ers staff, but if they held out until this point, why wouldn't they moving forward? And if their latest interview didn't happen, that wouldn't be a concern, but now it is.

With former Atlanta Falcons head coach Arthur Smith in the building, the Steelers may be face with a difficult decision. Smith feels like the first candidate the Steelers would actually hire. Now, they have to hope he doesn't take another job for the next two weeks - at least.

That's not very promising.

So, would they hold out in hopes of Klint Kubiak? Are they even interested in him? We'll have to wait another two weeks to find out.
