Steelers Have Two Contracts Making Headlines

The Pittsburgh Steelers have a deal to worry about now, and one to think about for the future.

PITTSBURGH -- The Pittsburgh Steelers have one contract to worry about now and one coming. But both are making headlines, and both carry some concern for when and if they'll get done.

It starts with Alex Highsmith. The outside linebacker is coming off a 14.5-sack season and is set to be the next Steelers defender to earn a major payday. The questions are how much it'll be worth and when it'll get done?

For now, he's on the field. But that could change come training camp.

The second is Najee Harris's. The star running back addressed a concerning running back market after the release of Dalvin Cook. Age isn't a running back's friend, and Harris is fighting father time with no chance to win.

Nearing 28 years old when he's set for his next NFL contract, you have to wonder how likely it is he gets a second deal with the Steelers. As tough as it's going to be, though, you might be surprised how well this could work in Harris's favor if he stays healthy.
