Tomlin's Friend? Steelers Have Better Options to Replace Matt Canada

The Pittsburgh Steelers have two names to watch as their next offensive coordinator.
In this story:

PITTSBURGH -- The Pittsburgh Steelers have been linked to one offensive coordinator candidate to potentially replace Matt Canada at the end of the season. Well, as much as Mike Tomlin's former coaching mate would create headlines, he might not be the best option for this team.

But it does make sense that the Steelers would consider someone close to home. That's the Pittsburgh way. They build relationships and stay loyal - sometimes to a fault. And if that's the direction they're going with their next coaching hire, they have two candidates who make a lot of sense.

Over the last few years, these two former Steelers have proved worthy of pretty good coaching spots, and have left their marks on the league and their respective teams. Now, it could be time for one of them to take a step forward and become an offensive coordinator.

With Pittsburgh's next hire, they need to go young and upcoming. If they want to make it a Steeler thing and hire those they believe fit they're type of character, well, two former players make a lot of sense.
