Alabama QB Bryce Young Sets Top-30 NFL Draft Visit With Texans

With the Texans likely taking a quarterback at No. 2 overall, they are set to meet with Alabama's Bryce Young this week.
In this story:

The Houston Texans find themselves in a prime position in the upcoming draft to further expedite the rebuild with a pair of first-round picks, with the first of those two picks being at No. 2.

And when the Texans are on the clock, all signs point to them selecting their next franchise quarterback.

As to who that quarterback could be, well, it depends on what the Carolina Panthers do at No. 1.

Luckily for the Texans, there are two quarterback prospects that most scouts and analysts agree are the clear-cut best two in this draft class - Alabama's Bryce Young and Ohio State's C.J. Stroud.

On Tuesday, with the draft just over two weeks away, it was reported that Young has a visit with the Panthers on Tuesday and is scheduled to meet with the Texans later this week.

If Young is the guy for the Texans with the second pick then they will walk away from the draft with a quarterback that has shown he has what it takes to be elite in the NFL.

In his two seasons starting for Alabama Young lit up the stat sheet, throwing for 8,356 yards with 80 touchdowns and just 12 interceptions while completing 65.8 percent of his passes.

Between now and the start of the draft there will be plenty of reports and smokescreens regarding what order Stroud and Young go in.

For the Texans, though, they will likely be happy to leave the first round with one of the two best prospects at the position.
