Lamar Jackson Recruited to Texans by Laremy Tunsil: 'Come to Houston!'

Houston Texans offensive tackle Laremy Tunsil sees an opportunity ripe for the taking, as Baltimore Ravens QB Lamar Jackson wants a trade. Could he pair up with the All-Pro lineman?
In this story:

After signing a three-year, $75 million extension with the Houston Texans, offensive tackle Laremy Tunsil wants Baltimore Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson on his side of the line of scrimmage in hopes of improving upon their 3-13-1 record.

And on Monday afternoon, he took to Twitter to recruit the former MVP quarterback.

"Wasssuppppp !!!!!! Come 2 the city," Tunsil tweeted at Jackson.

However, Tunsil wasn't the only Texan that acknowledged Jackson as a want for the Texans.

Head coach DeMeco Ryans also gave his thoughts on the matter. Albeit with a more conservative approach.

'We look at all options for our team,' Ryans said at the NFL owners meetings in
Phoenix when asked about Jackson. “That falls into that category as well.'"

Jackson threw for 2,242 yards in 12 games played in what was otherwise a disappointing season for the Ravens. Though they finished 10-7 and advanced to the 2022 AFC Playoffs, they suffered a narrow 24-17 defeat to the Cincinnati Bengals in the first round without Jackson, who was sidelined with a sprained PCL. He sustained the injury against the Denver Broncos in Week 12 and was done for the year.

Jackson has been disgruntled with the Ravens organization and has been unabashed in seeking greener pastures.

On the morning of Mar. 27, Jackson posted a string of Tweets in what he called 'A Letter to my Fans,' updating them on where he stands with the franchise:

In short, Jackson has been dissatisfied with the Ravens' appraisal of his value, and it has been suggested that the Texans may be the franchise to give him what he wants.

Houston is currently slated to meet with all the top quarterbacks in this NFL Draft as the No. 2 overall pick is owned by the Texans.

However, Houston could parlay one or more of their first-round picks -- as they also hold the No. 12 overall selection -- in a potential deal for Jackson.
