'It's A Playoff Game!' Joe Buck, Troy Aikman To Call Texans vs. Colts in Week 18
The Texans and Colts are preparing for what's basically the first AFC playoff game of the season. The top three teams in the AFC South are tied at 9-7 with one game left. It's more than likely that the winner on Sunday will make the playoffs while the loser will head home and watch from the couch.
That fact is not something lost on the fans ... or the broadcasters. For the first time this season, Joe Buck and Troy Aikman will be calling a Colts game, as they're normally on the call for ESPN's "Monday Night Football" - which Indianapolis did not appear on this season.
As if we needed more excitement to an already dramatic backdrop for a game, the broadcast duo of Buck and Aikman never disappoints.
As of Tuesday, the Texans are favored by just 1.5 points for the important matchup. From a betting standpoint, that's a pretty close call, and both teams are in the minus for the money line.
Where Do Texans Land in NFL Power Rankings Following Week 17 Win vs. Titans?
It's been an incredible turnaround year for Houston after winning just seven games combined over the past two seasons. The fact that the Texans could get to nine wins this season is nothing short of a miracle, and that gift was orchestrated by new head coach DeMeco Ryans.
Both players have contributed greatly - along with an improved offensive line and defensive front - to the success this season. The next step? A playoff appearance.
