Texans Pick Tennessee WR Jalin Hyatt in NFL.com Mock Draft
The Houston Texans are primed for a franchise-changing offseason.
They already have their new coach, DeMeco Ryans, and their new staff is being built.
Up next, is the NFL Draft, in which the Texans will have two first-round picks at No. 2 and No. 12, where Ryans will have a chance to bring in some fresh impact playmakers.
And in NFL.com's latest mock draft, Houston will follow through with the predominant predictions, and select Alabama quarterback and 2021 Heisman Trophy winner Bryce Young with the No. 2 overall pick.

The entire city of Houston rejoices as the franchise pairs the fan-favorite quarterback with the fan-favorite head coaching hire, DeMeco Ryans.
But, that is where things start to get interesting for the Texans.
With the No. 12 pick, most pundits have had Houston going with either TCU wideout Quentin Johnston or USC's Jordan Addison.
However, NFL.com has the Texans going in a different direction, selecting Tennessee super-speedster Jalin Hyatt as their new No. 1 wideout.
No. 12 Houston Texans - Jalin Hyatt, WR - Tennessee
Hyatt has almost unnatural speed, with the acceleration to leave man coverage in the dust. He not only is a deep threat, but he also helps move safeties out of the box.
Hyatt exploded onto the scene in 2022, helping to lead the nation's top-scoring offense with 67 catches for 1,267 yards and 15 touchdowns, and averaging 18.9 yards per catch.
Should the Texans indeed elect to take Hyatt with their second pick, he would provide a dimension that has been missing in the Houston offense for quite some time, while also making it easier for Houston to move on from current top wideout, Brandin Cooks.
