The Houston Texans on Sunday hope to victimize a reeling New York Jets team that is in such disarray that they are going back to Zach Wilson as their starting quarterback ...

While simultaneously having "told Zach Wilson he will be traded after the season.''

That is the report this week out of the the Deseret News - the BYU product Wilson's home-state newspaper - which also states that the former and failed top draft pick has with coach Robert Saleh "agreed to a mutual parting following the benching - again - of Wilson and before the team decided to return him to the starting position Sunday."

The 7-5 Texans will be at MetLife Stadium on Sunday to face the struggling 4-8 Jets, who as they switch back to Wilson are in danger of losing a sixth straight game.

Wilson has not been the answer in place of the injured Aaron Rodgers, as he's thrown for 1,944 yards, six touchdowns and seven interceptions in 10 games.

The Jets acquired Rodgers from the Packers in a blockbuster trade last offseason. But he tore his Achilles in the first game of the regular season and is done until next year (his goofy self-hype about a miracle recovery notwithstanding).

So next year, Rodgers is the guy. And Wilson, the No. 2 overall pick in the 2021 NFL Draft, will be gone. ... with the reports that suggest that leaving out one factor ...

Who, exactly, wants to trade anything of value for Zach Wilson?
