Feldman's Mock Has Titans With Two In First-Round

Could the Titans stand at No.11, and trade back into the first round to grab another player?

NASHVILLE - Fans of the Tennessee Titans have been divided on the rumors their team is considering a move up to No.3 in the upcoming NFL Draft to select a quarterback.

Bruce Feldman of The Athletic has another idea, and it involves the Titans getting one of the top players in the draft and their quarterback of the future in round one.

Appearing on The Rich Eisen Radio Show, Feldman mocked the Titans would stay put at No.11 to select Ohio State wide receiver Jaxon SMith-Njigba, who Feldman labeled the best receiver in this draft, and better than former teammates Chris Olave and Garrett Wilson, who were selected back-to-back at No.10 and No.11 in last years draft.

After that, Feldman believes that Kentucky quarterback Will Levis is destined for a fall and has the Titans trading back into the first round to nab the former Wildcat with a trade with Seattle for the No.20 pick in round one.

Feldman did not go into detail as to what the details or cost of such a move back up into the first-round cost the Titans, but it would likely be less overall than a move up to No.3 that has been speculated of late.

However, based on the 2023 NFL Draft Value Chart, the No.20 pick is valued at 850 points, while the No.41 pick is 490, a difference of 360 points.

Based on those values, the Titans could potentially send Seattle their third-round pick, No.72, a value of 230 points, and another selection in 2024 for this move. They could also send the Seahawks a second in 2024 to complete this move.

Granted, this is just more speculation, but for the Titans, getting Smith-Njigba, and Levis, though not highly regarded by Titans fans in general, for the potential cost of less than what it would take to move up to No.3 seems like a much wiser move.

While Levis doesn't move the needle for most Titans fans, he would be a younger player with all the physical abilities, and he could be allowed to sit behind Tannehill and sit as a rookie while learning the system.

He could also possibly be called on to start immediately, allowing the Titans to move on from Tannehill and his big contract number.

As with every mock draft we've evaluated, none are perfect, but this is a potential win for the Titans in more ways than one.
