NFL Scouting Combine: Xavier Legette an Appealing Prospect at Receiver for Titans

South Carolina wide receiver Xavier Legette has a great combination of size and skill. Pair that with his ability and willingness to play special teams, and he is an appealing prospect for the Tennessee Titans.

INDIANAPOLIS — South Carolina receiver Xavier Legette is ready to contribute in the NFL in any way he can. That might be an appealing quality for the Tennessee Titans, who need to add wide receivers to the roster.

Legette is considered a top-75 prospect in this year's NFL Draft class, per Pro Football Focus. At 6-feet-3, 227 pounds, the former South Carolina star has the size to be a top target in several NFL offenses.

But it's his willingness to work hard and play special teams that he believes are his best qualities.

"I'm just a hard worker, a guy who can be consistent every day," Legette said during his media availability at the NFL Scouting Combine on Friday. "I just bring a lot to the table."

Legette finished the 2023 season at South Carolina with 1,255 yards, good for the second-highest receiving total in the SEC. He also had seven touchdown catches on 71 receptions.

Along with his playmaking ability at receiver, Legette also brings special teams experience to the table. He was a return man and gunner for the Gamecocks in his final two seasons.

"I can do a lot of it on the special teams part of it. Even on the field, I feel like I'm a great receiver," Legette said. "Any way to help the team. If I'm playing every rep on offense, I'll still go out there and play special teams."

Legette doesn't get the same attention as Marvin Harrison Jr., Rome Odunze or Malik Nabers, but he's an attractive candidate to join the Titans' receiver room in this year's draft.
