Even After The Draft, The Titans Can Continue  Adding To Their Roster

Even though the draft has concluded, the Tennessee Titans will continue to look to add talent to their roster.

NASHVILLE - Despite the 2023 NFL Draft ending on Saturday and the Tennessee Titans adding only six players with the number of selections they had, that doesn't mean the search for talent to add to the roster will end.

Immediately following the draft's final pick, the signing of undrafted free agents (UDFSs) began, and we have an article that will be continuously updated, tracking those additions that you can find here.

According to head coach Mike Vrabel, the Titans can also continue to sign veteran remaining free agents through Monday.

"No, free agency is not. They're going to let us sign free agents Monday. They will. Chad will. Ran will. They will let us sign free agents on Monday," said Vrabel in his post-draft press conference. "Free agency is going to go all the way up until the season starts. There will be players that are on other teams that will become available Monday. Take a look. It will be a real large waiver wire. We'll scour that. We'll continue to look for trade possibilities and opportunities. Chad and Vin (Marino) will help us with the salary cap, find ways to open up salaries so that we can potentially sign other players. There's been a pretty good process here and I'm excited about it.

Some interesting early additions to the UDFA list include: TK McClendon, Edge, Eastern Kentucky; Jacob Copeland, WR, Maryland-who began his college career at Florida; and Kearis Jackson, WR, Georgia.

Jackson, a two-time national champion, as a member of the Georgia Bulldogs, attended the combine, had a draftable grade, but went unselected. He is 5-foot-11 and 196 pounds and posted a 4.55 forty time during that process. In his college career, Jackson posted 78 catches, 1,107 receiving yards, and four touchdowns, with his best season coming in 2021. Jackson also had over 1,000 return yards as a Bulldog, fielding both punts and kicks.

Copeland also attended the combine, where he measured 5-foot-11 and 201 pounds. His athletic numbers are impressive, including a 4.42 forty, along with a 33" vertical and a 10'7" broad jump. Scouting reports tout his athleticism but question his "instincts and route acumen" on the field.

McClendon, a small school standout for the Colonels, is 6-foot-4 and 274 pounds; as a redshirt senior started 12 games and was named All-ASUN while totaling 58 tackles and led the team with 11.5 tackles for loss and 6.0 sacks.
