NASHVILLE — The Tennessee Titans may be in the middle of a transition season as they move away from what the Derrick Henry-led Titans were and into the next phase. They took major steps toward that next phase in the 2023 NFL draft when they brought in quarterback Will Levis specifically, but also running back Tyjae Spears. The next version of the Titans has the chance to be bolstered by the 2024 NFL draft as well, but who will they select?

It may be far too early to ask that question before the 2023 season has even been played, but looking ahead can be great fun. Especially, when you are the Titans and 2023 looks like a year that won't be as fun as some of the previous seasons the Titans have had. So, what are pundits projecting for the Titans in 2024?

Todd McShay, ESPN:  Pick 1.4 - Dallas Turner, Edge, Alabama

Analysis: "Turner is going to take over this Crimson Tide defense next season after Anderson graduated to the NFL. He's undersized at 240 pounds, but he's quick and bendy off the edge. Turner has 12.5 sacks and 17 tackles for loss over two seasons despite only starting 12 of the 28 games he appeared in. And he has at least 25 pressures in each of those years. Tennessee brought in Arden Key, but Harold Landry III is coming off an ACL tear and Denico Autry is playing on the final year of his contract."

Matt Holder, B/R: Pick 1.8 - Emeka Egbuka, WR, Ohio State

Analysis: "The Tennessee Titans found their replacement for Ryan Tannehill in the second round of last weekend's draft in former Kentucky quarterback Will Levis. But with how the Titans' roster is constructed, Levis will be in dire need of some offensive weapons.

Wide receiver will be one of Tennessee's top needs, as 2022 first-round pick Treylon Burks headlines the position group, followed by Nick Westbrook-Ikhine and Kyle Philips. That puts Ohio State wideout Emeka Egbuka in play, especially given the Buckeyes connection between him and head coach Mike Vrabel.

As the No. 2 option behind Harrison Jr., Egbuka put up impressive numbers of his own last season, hauling in 74 passes for 1,151 yards and 10 touchdowns. He also can make plays with the ball in his hands, adding 11 carries for 87 yards and two touchdowns.

Bringing in the Ohio State product will give Levis a solid group of pass-catchers, with Burks and Egbuka out wide and Chigoziem Okonkwo, who showed promised at the end of last season, at tight end. Okonkwo ended his rookie year with eight starts and 32 catches for 450 yards and three scores."

Dan Brugler, Athletic: Pick 1.5 - Dallas Turner, Edge, Alabama

Analysis: "When scouting Anderson or other Alabama defenders, it was impossible to overlook No. 15 flying off the edge and making plays. Throw on the Texas A&M tape from last season and watch Turner go to work."
