NASHVILLE — The Tennessee Titans' draft class from 2023 NFL draft weekend created some definitive "losers" and in the process also created some "winners" as well. Here are the players that were positively impacted by the Titans decisions during the draft process.

Nick Westbrook-Ikhine & Chris Moore

The Tennessee Titans neglected the wide receiver position in the draft, not selecting one until the last round. Colton Dowell could be the greatest late-round receiver of all time, but if he is anything like most picks at his spot, he may not make the biggest impact in 2023.

Barring a blockbuster trade, the lack of talent added at receiver sets up Westbrook-Ikhine and Moore for a big-time role in the Titans' offense. Second-year player Treylon Burks should still be the team's top wideout, but his draft mate Kyle Philips is still a slot-only option on passing downs only. That means on most downs, Burks will be joined by one of Moore or NWI. That is a huge opportunity for both of them as on most teams in the NFL, they wouldn't see the field.

Aaron Brewer & Corey Levin

The Titans added two offensive linemen in the draft in Peter Skoronski and Jaelyn Duncan, but both of them are considered players who could work at tackle or guard. While maybe Skoronski could move in to center, the odds are higher he plays elsewhere.

With little competition brought in at the pivot, Brewer and Levin have no additional challengers as they battle it out for the starting center role. The Titans also have Daniel Brunskill, who was brought in as a free agent, that could potentially play some center, but with no one brought in through the draft, Brewer and Levin should be left alone in the ring.

Defensive Depth Pieces

The Titans drafted all offense in 2023. That is the first time the franchise has made every pick on one side of the ball since the draft expanded to seven rounds in 1994. That means the coaching staff and front office must feel comfortable with not only the starters on defense, but the depth as well.

Players like Rashad Weaver, Monty Rice, Elijah Molden and Roger McCreary come to mind immediately. Weaver could have been challenged as the third edge in the rotation behind Harold Landry and Arden Key, but nothing. Monty Rice, going into year three, saw free agents brought in at his position, but still sits in a great spot with no young player there to challenge him from the draft. Lastly, no corners were brought in to give McCreary or Molden a run.

The Titans must be very confident in these players to not look for any reinforcement. The talent pool is limited going forward into the season so what the Titans have now is what they will be working with when the season arrives. Hopefully, the front office is right and no additional help will be needed on defense.

The draft pickups by the Titans didn't really change the perspective of this team heading into the 2023 season. According to the Fanduel gambling website, the Titans are heavy underdogs to win the AFC South. They are at plus-360, while the Jacksonville Jaguars are at minus-160. It's the largest gab of any of the eight divisions.
